Six Slice Presents: Nu Jazz - A showcase of the most exciting genre-bending new music in Manchester. Jazz // Hip Hop // Fusion // Beats // Folk // Electronica // Experimental Tickets: £3 ADV | £4 OTD. Porij - an electro-jazz four piece drawing inspiration from artists such as MJ Cole, Pomo and KNOWER. They have supported the likes of Headhunters and Xamvolo. Porij are in the process of recording at the moment and are releasing their singles ‘Daisy’ and ‘I Like that’ on Spotify and Soundcloud. Essa Weira - a London/Manchester-based producer. Stringing together influences from across the electronic genre (ambient to alternative), his music is a blend of harmonious synths, intricate samples and soothing vocals. Expect an impressive live performance from this multi-instrumentalist. Mayling - a five-piece group that infuse modern jazz with contemporary R&B, indie rock and electronic/ambient music, making for an engaging and immersive experience when performing live. Quiet Houses - an alt-folk duo based in Manchester. Their music combines folk songwriting with contemporary production and uplifting string and vocal arrangements. Think Laura Marling The Staves, and Bon Iver. The duo began recording in September 2018 with producer and friend Karl Ziegler. Their debut EP ‘Armchair Tree’ is set for release in 2019.
