Children's Harry Potter Themed Modern Calligraphy for Beginners

Come along and join our children's Harry Potter themed calligraphy workshop for beginners! This course is perfect for children to learn a new skill and have fun, while learning how to create beautiful handwriting in the traditional style using a quill and ink. ****** Children are welcome to dress up as their favourite Harry Potter character or halloween character to get into the spirit of the workshop (OPTIONAL) ******* The course will start with tips on how to use a quill and ink and general maintenance of your nib. We will then move on to some warm up strokes to teach you the basic formation used to create your letters. After that you will form lower case letter and upper case letters. Children will then move on to writing spells using a feather and ink. You do not need to have neat handwriting or any previous experience to be able to access this course. There are many benefits to calligraphy such as: mindfulness, creativity, positive thinking and wellbeing. All equipment will be provided. Starter packs can be purchased separately if your child decides that they want to carry on their calligraphy journey after the workshop.
