Go Green Week Students Sustainability Alliance Meeting

Do you care about the environment? Do you want to be part of an awesome group of students who work together towards climate justice within our university and nationally? If you answered yes, or even ‘maybe’ to either of these questions then come along to this event! The Students Sustainability Alliance (SSA) is a group of students who will come together to discuss ideas about how we can work to tackle climate change. This could be anything from organising a litter pick, to starting a national campaign, from running an event to educate other students to lobbying the university on the recycling facilities on campus and everything in between! It will provide a forum to talk about ideas and meet other like-minded individuals. The Guild team will also be on hand to help facilitate these ideas coming to life. We will iron out the nitty-gritty details of how the group will work and our priorities together. During this event, there will be a presentation about what the SSA is and how it will work. We will then have some time for questions and possibly start to talk a bit about the group's priorities. You don’t need to know anything about climate change to come, and you don’t need to have done any work around sustainability, everyone is welcome! After this event, we will send out more details about when the group will meet next and what exciting things we can get working on first.
