Speak No Evil Presents: Nu Jazz - A showcase of the most exciting genre-bending new music in Manchester. Jazz // Hip Hop // Fusion // Beats // Folk // Electronica // Experimental B-ahwe draws influence from contemporaries such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Portishead and Fatima, also exploring elements of hip-hop, trip-hop and neo soul with jazzy chords, lush vocal textures and, moody, ambient soundscapes. She has supported personal influencers such as Yazmin Lacey and Fatima, and made appearances at Manchester Jazz Festival, World Island Festival and Tramlines this summer. Wandering Monster perform intricately arranged instrumental rock music which draws upon jazz sensibilities and sound worlds. Retaining the harmonic sophistication and improvisational approach of jazz, these influences are juxtaposed with the rhythmic complexity of modern rock and metal. The result is a sound that is intense and raucous, yet also dynamic, sensitive and spontaneous. Ivory Forest Ivory Forest are a Manchester-based jazz collective.
