Wednesday 7th week: join SolidariTee at Freud for a joyous night of jazz, funky jams, spoken word poetry and delectable DJ sets. Featuring the likes of Garfunkel and Testpress DJs! Open up your ears and boogie your booty all to support legal aid for refugees in the Mediterranean! !!! All proceeds go to SolidariTee !!! *SolidariTee is a student-run charity which seeks to raise money for legal aid for refugees in Greece. The money raised goes directly to support small NGOs providing legal aid, helping to get refugees out of temporary holding camps, through the asylum process and on to new safe lives. The charity, started by Cambridge University student Tiara Sahar Ataii in 2017, was created as a response to both the decreasing media coverage of the refugee crisis and her experience as a translator for a legal aid NGO working in Greece. Ataii set up SolidariTee with a twofold purpose: to create a visual display of solidarity with refugees through the sales of t-shirts whilst, crucially, making a material impact in Greece through fundraising. *
