Modern Calligraphy for Beginners Workshop @ Fairfield Moravian Allotments

Come along and join our calligraphy workshop for beginners! This workshop is perfect for anyone that wants a couple of hours fun, learning how to create beautiful handwriting in the traditional style using a nib and ink. ********A starter gift pack is included in the price so that you can carry on your calligraphy journey after the workshop************* The course will start with tips on how to use a traditional nib and ink and general maintenance of your nib. We will then move on to some warm up strokes to teach you the basic formation used to create your letters. After that you will form lower and uppercase letters. Finally moving on to put together your favourite positive saying or quote on a beautiful background to take home. You do not need to have neat handwriting or any previous experience to be able to access this course. You will still be able to create your own beautiful masterpieces. There are many benefits to calligraphy such as: mindfulness, creativity, positive thinking and wellbeing.
