About

We're back for 2019! This national two-day conference is aimed at medical and paramedic students, junior doctors, paramedics, and allied healthcare professionals. We hope to develop knowledge and skills, inform trainees of the PHEM training pathway and the diverse role of PHEM in a variety of diverse environments, inspire interest and promote debate within this pioneering medical field. The Friday will be dedicated to an afternoon programme of talks from speakers from a range of backgrounds within the field of pre-hospital emergency medicine. You will hear top speakers from all walks of emergency medicine – events and pitch-side doctors, major incident critical care, paramedics, expedition medicine, air ambulance doctors, military medicine, and much more. On Saturday, you'll be able to put theory into practice with an intensive workshop day covering a variety of pre-hospital emergency scenarios and skills. Additionally, Saturday will feature some selected talks from a few further prominent speakers, as well as a poster presentation. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Our key speakers include: * Dr. Katherine Henderson - President of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine * Lt Col Ross Moy - Consultant in emergency medicine in the British Army and previous Regimental Medical Officer to the Queen’s Royal Lancers * Dr. Saleyah Ahsan - former Captain in the Royal army, award-winning filmmaker and humanitarian journalist ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ There will also be a Gala Dinner on the night of Friday 8th November in the beautiful Clore Old Library of the University Church of St. Mary, overlooking the Radcliffe Camera.
