St Andrews ACS presents UBUNTU 2019 // CONFLUENCE Welcome to the Kingdom of Africa during the 6th-13th centuries. It is Pre-Colonisation and the African Empires and States are flourishing, whilst Europe remains plunged in the Dark Age. Characterised as a period of intellectual and cultural development, this is the African Renaissance that history has forgotten about, but that needs to be remembered in order to propel Africa’s second rebirth, post-colonisation. Come along to the second year of the ACS's Dance and Fashion showcase: a bold, refreshing cultural explosion to display the vibrancy and richness of African and Caribbean cultures! Take a front-row seat at Mansa Musa's court as you revel in the majestic reception of catwalks, dance and live music. This will of course be followed by an after-party like no other!
