Join us for our first public transport walks of the year! You'll take a bus to Chagford from which you'll venture through the outskirts of Dartmoor to either the small Devon village of Crockernwell or the famous Castle Drogo.
Lengths and ratings:
Walk A (to Crockernwell): distance-9.0 miles (moderate), terrain-moderate (edge of Dartmoor, a few steep-ish sections)
Walk B (to Castle Drogo): distance-6.0 miles (mild), terrain-moderate (edge of Dartmoor, includes one rather steep section)
Bus Times:
For Walk A (to Crockernwell), be at Stop 40, Sidwell Street for 08:10
For Walk B (to Castle Drogo), be at Stop 40, Sidwell Street for 11:05

We aim to return to Exeter by 18:30.
Before the walk:
Make sure to bring a packed lunch and at least 2 bottles of water, we are unable to stop en-route for food or other supplies.
Remember to wear strong, sturdy hiking boots or shoes. A waterproof layer and sunscreen is also recommended, as well as an extra sweater or hat for warmth.
If you have any medical conditions incl. severe allergies please let our president Jake know, and bring any medication which you may need.
