Join us for our first revision breaking walk in term 3 by exploring the historic market town of Crewkerne and the surrounding countryside. This 8 mile walk ventures into the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) as well as a couple of quintessentially English Somerset villages.
Lengths and ratings:
Distance - 8 miles (Moderate), Terrain - Moderate (one major incline and potential for lots of mud along the tracks/footpaths/lanes, wear suitable strong footwear)
Please purchase an off-peak return to Crewkerne for the following times:
- From Exeter St. Davids, the 09:25 train, arrive to the station for 09:15
- From Exeter Central, the 09:30 train, arrive to the station for 09:20
We aim to return to Exeter by 18:30.
Before the walk:
Make sure to bring a packed lunch and at least 2 bottles of water, we are unable to stop en-route for food or other supplies.
Remember to wear strong, sturdy hiking boots or shoes. A waterproof layer and sunscreen is also recommended, as well as an extra sweater or hat for warmth.
