About

The year is 2060. It's a queer world. There is no escape from glittery ideology. OUG&SS's HMS Pinafore sets sail under new colours to ensure that the sun will never set on the domains of Lady Britannia. Her crew and captain do their utmost to meet the expectations of the admiralty's new regime, but young love, prejudice, and a touch of magic leave no feathers unruffled in this partial re-imagining of a classic tale of class-defying romance and friendship. Using one of W. S. Gilbert's silliest texts, which provides a timelessly hilarious satire on nationalism, corruption, and snobbery, we aim to ask the question how far we can take our pride, and how far our pride can take us. Join us at the Jacqueline du Pré auditorium, and find out for yourself.
