We understand that it can be confusing in the run up to Welcome Week as Bristol is saturated with many different events claiming to be ‘Official’ Freshers’ events. Our official Welcome Programme will be stamped with our logo and have events that take place at The Students’ Union and also in city centre venues we have worked with for a number of years. The official Welcome Week is run by The Students’ Union at UWE, which is a non-profit organisation, and organised on our behalf by Dazed Events. We try to ensure value for money is delivered at every Welcome event - not just another club night.
While some non-official events will surely be enjoyable, please take care when buying tickets to avoid disappointment. If you plan to be at an event, please arrive before 23:00 (or midnight for 23:00 start) to guarantee your entry. After that point, we’ll start letting everyone else in and the venue may be full when you arrive.

All events are 18+. Please bring valid age ID (Passport/Driving Licence). Failure to produce one of these two will result in you being refused entry without refund. Photocopies are unacceptable.

Please note: All events are closed events for UWE Students and their guests only. Failure to produce a valid student card or proof of attendance will result in lack of admittance without refund.

All venues reserve the right to eject and refuse entry to customers at their discretion. Reasons include, but are not limited to: violence, suspicion of drugs, intoxication.
