To launch their new Schubert album, Music and Theatre for All and Through The Noise present Thomas Guthrie and Bjarte Eike's Alehouse Boys in a life-affirming evening celebrating storytelling and collaboration in music. The music Hear Schubert’s beautiful Die schöne Müllerin in baritone Thomas Guthrie’s acclaimed arrangement for strings, percussion and tree branch, interwoven with Stories We Tell Ourselves, the new song cycle created this year by the brilliant Lewisham Creative Chorus. Grab a beer and rejoin us for Bjarte Eike and Barokksolistene's astonishing, ever-evolving and “innately theatrical” Alehouse Sessions. What to expect Experience the trademark spontaneity, the transformational beauty and the infectious sense of fun of an MTFA evening. This event is part of MTFA's Schubert 200 project celebrating the 200th anniversary of Schubert’s three great song cycles, and is supported by MTFA’s Schubert Circle, Arts Council England and The Cockayne Foundation.
