Justine Waddell is an actress and founder of the streaming service Klassiki, a new streaming platform dedicated to cinema from Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia. After graduating from Cambridge Justine began her career as an actress in a number of plays including *Anna Karenina, Ivanov* and *The Seagull,* and eventually playing the lead in *Mishen* a Russian sci-fi film directed by Alexander Zeldovich which played at the Berlinale and Moscow International Film festival. Since retiring as an actress she has been on the jury of the Festival of European Film "Voices" in Vologda, Russia and part of the BBC New Year film programme to discuss women in film with Francine Stock, Elizabeth Karlson and Carol Morley. She then founded the Kino Klassika foundation which educates audiences about film and film materials from the countries of the former Soviet Union which led to her work on the Klassiki platform.
