Restitution of Colonial Artefacts Debate

About

As term starts drawing to an end, it's time for our next debate: the Restitution of Colonial Artefacts! Join us in the Matrix Lecture Theatre this Tuesday, 21st November, 6:30-9pm. The Restitution of Colonial Artefacts addresses the return of cultural and historical items to their countries of origin. Some nations argue that this is an ethical imperative for rectifying historical injustice, restoring cultural heritage, and fostering global cooperation. However, some legal complexities, perspectives on ownership, and concerns about the preservation of artefacts challenge this. Make sure to come along this Tuesday as we discuss what is sure to be a nuanced international affair. See you there!👋
