About

Phoenix, a Totnes native, cultivated her passion for music under the influence of her professional violinist mother and multi-instrumentalist father. Commencing violin at the age of five and later delving into piano studies, she absorbed musical inspiration from Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder, Adele , and Maverick sabre during her early teens. Initiated into songwriting at 15, Phoenix employed music as a means to navigate through poignant emotions. Her breakthrough in the industry came with the debut single 'Flowers' and a notable feature on MoStack’s 'Real Love.' Notably, 'When The Lights Go Down' highlights Phoenix's distinctive fusion of drill and R&B. Evolving in her career, Phoenix has refined her musical identity, gravitating towards R&B/Neosoul. This seasoned artist now unveils a more vulnerable facet, exploring themes of trust and emotional turmoil in tracks like 'Who’s really there for me to go to, they show me love but I don’t know them, now I can’t trust emotions broken.'
