Northern Parasol's Night Shift #6 | Blindspot | Ft. Leon's Comet & Venus The Boy

The endless rumble of wheels on concrete, the hiss of hydraulics, and the occasional burst of chatter over the crackling radio. By 3am, the line between a plastic-wrapped parcel and a 40-pound sack of pet food blurs, but lifting the wrong one could put your back out for a week. The pay doesn’t quite cover the grind, nor the bruise on your shin from that errant trolley. Some dream of the stage; you just dream of remembering which belt your coffee cup’s on. You haul another box onto the conveyor and call out, “Next load coming through.” The clank of steel echoes. Physical exhaustion starts to feel philosophical. Whether you’re moving solo or hustling as a crew, night-time warehouse work can leave you feeling drained, anonymous, like a cog in the dark hours. But Northern Parasol is here to change that. Presenting The Nightshift, a six-week residency bringing music’s finest to light up Salford’s beloved Eagle Inn. For this edition, we’re stacking the lineup high with Blindspot, a rock powerhouse with grooves to move even the sleep-deprived. Joining them is the punchy Leon’s Comet, firing up the night, and opening things up is Venus The Boy—Harry from The Vespertines himself—adding some of that unmistakable Manchester energy. This Nightshift isn’t another forgettable grind. Join the crowd, ditch the warehouse weight for bass lines and wild rhythms. Every Wednesday night. Join the release.
