About

DJ Love is a London-based newcomer whose name practically exploded onto the scene. You may know this leader of the new gen from his highly-successful live streams or from his diverse-yet-heartfelt sets at venues such as The Cause, Thekla, and Scala. Close your eyes, and you’ll know immediately from the ethereal melodies and thumping kicks that it’s DJ Love. Open them and you’ll see that signature grin from ear-to-ear that makes it hard to be anything but grateful for being in your spot on the dancefloor. While he’s already made waves with his track curation alone, DJ Love has been churning out the anthems that could easily define the UK’s underground culture. His ravey breakbeat techno debut self-release, “Fully Gassed” kicked off the artist’s success, and it only gets better from there. “Love Will Always Do” released on Motive Hunter Audio and “Break Me” are testimony to his happy-go-lucky personality transmitted through music that gets any rave hyped. His bootlegs are some of the most coveted in underground techno right now. Most recently he debuted the much requested “I’m God” edit, running up views and downloads across all his social media. While hype only lasts so long, DJ Love isn’t going anywhere – with support from the scene’s biggest touring acts and a rapidly-growing fan base, it’s hard to deny he brings something to the table we’ve never seen before. Matrefakt embarked on their journey as a dynamic DJ and production duo as they set out to craft sonic experiences that resonate with the soul. It wasn’t long before their debut EP, ‘Radiation Generation,’ was unleashed on their own Attitudes To Life label, garnering widespread acclaim and support from luminaries such as Mella Dee, DJ Boring, Patrick Topping, Sally C, and Cromby. This early success laid the foundation for a remarkable ascent… Building upon the momentum of their inaugural release, Matrefakt swiftly followed up with captivating EPs on revered platforms like Shall Not Fade and Skream’s Unsound Mind. 2022 witnessed an influx of standout releases on esteemed imprints such as Mella Dee’s Warehouse Music, Richy Ahmed’s 432, Anja Schneider’s Sous Music, and Circus Recordings. These releases served as a sonic tapestry, showcasing the duo’s expansive musical taste and undeniable talent. Matrefakt’s magnetic stage presence and undeniable talent as curators of euphoria quickly caught the attention of the global dance community. The pinnacle of their journey was undoubtedly their monumental support slot for Peggy Gou and Bicep at Creamfields – an electrifying experience that materialized as a dream fulfilled. Hailing from the very region where Creamfields is held, a special place in their hearts as both festival-goers and performers, this moment was nothing short of a testament to their dedication and unwavering love for dance music. In support residents and Eminent curators Eminent Boys, plus Maisie Hassel.
