Michelle Jarvis has 24 years of experience in international criminal justice and became Deputy Head of the IIIM for Syria in December 2017. Previously, she served as Deputy to the Prosecutor at the ICTY and MICT, focusing on accountability for crimes in the Balkans, Rwanda, and Syria. Her work emphasises innovative approaches to justice, especially for marginalised groups, and she has co-authored books on gender and armed conflict. Before her international career, she was a litigator in Australia, improving women's access to justice.
