Irish Intervarsity Climbing Competition

Intervarsities is where all the university mountaineering clubs come together for a big climbing competition once a year. This year it will be in Cork from Friday evening, 31/01/24 to Sunday 02/02/24. Tickets will be £60 which includes: ●2 nights (31st and 1st) stay at Sheila's Hostel Cork (breakfast included both mornings) ●Entry to the competition and talk on Friday evening. The competition consists of 3 catagories, beginner, intermediate and advanced so everyone is welcome! ●On Friday night there is a talk by a guest speaker! ●On Saterday it is bouldering, where there are 30 boulders so there will be a mix of easier and hard. ●On Sunday it is the rope climbing then finals. Beginner will be top roping so do not worry if you cannot lead climb yet! There are 20 tickets available so they are first come first served You must also have mountaineering ireland membership to compete. This can be purchased through the club if you do not have it already. It does not include transport to cork.
