These auditions will be joint with the chamber orchestra auditions, meaning that you only need to audition once if you would like to audition for both orchestras. Please fill out this form if you would like to audition, indicating when you are available, and we will be in touch soon to confirm your exact audition slot (if you have already filled out this form for chamber orchestra, we will receive it too so you don't need to fill it out twice!). https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSftK1bBbL-XXL7SKpXzRieLb6yxSHMVNAel1DKNmAclq_DaAA/viewform?usp=sf_link Auditions will last around 15 minutes, and will involve you playing a solo piece of your choice, a bit of sight reading, and an informal discussion with our conductor Tim and president Hannah, as well as chamber orchestra's president Millie and vice president Matt, about your musical interests and experiences. Please note, if you are playing a piece which was written for your instrument and accompaniment, we would prefer that you play with the piano accompaniment if possible, and you will be able to attach a copy of the accompaniment music to send to the pianist when you complete the form. We would recommend arriving 15 minutes early and you will be able to sign in with a member of the committee, and there will be a room available for you to warm up before your audition starts. We aim to make the auditions as relaxed as possible and would really encourage anyone who is interested to come and play for us.
