This exciting and prestigious new concert series will feature all 32 of Beethoven's Piano Sonatas throughout 2024. Featuring exceptional performances from leading UK and international pianists, these concerts will be an unrivalled opportunity to enjoy some of the world's greatest piano repertoire, as curated by our guest performers. Set in the stunning candlelit venue of St Giles Cathedral, with it's newly installed Steinway Grand Piano, this will be a musical experience to remember! St Giles is situated in the heart of the Royal Mile with many bars and restaurants nearby to complete your evening. Featuring Warren Mailley-Smith (piano) Programme Beethoven - Piano Sonata Op 2 no. 3 in C major Chopin - Scherzo No. 2 in B flat minor Schubert - Impromptu Op 90 No. 3 in G flat major Liszt - Rigoletto Paraphrase About Warren Mailley-Smith Warren has developed a large following across the UK, with audiences warming to his outstanding pianism, effortless technique and charismatic charm. He made waves in the music world in 2015 through his extraordinary achievement of performing the complete solo works of Chopin. His career has taken him all over the world, with solo performances in Australia, Europe and tours in China and the USA. He has given acclaimed solo recitals at The Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall and has performed for the British Royal Family on numerous occasions.
