BRECON BEACONS - WEEKEND AWAY!!!

ITS THAT TIME OF YEAR!! Join OODS for the glittering mountain in the OODS calendar crown. It's the weekend away!! Join OODS as we explore the breathtakingly beautiful Brecon Beacons. We will be climbing the greatest of the Welsh Three Peaks: Pen Y Fan, exploring the gorgeous views of the valleys and adventuring across the South of Wales on a once a year hiking extravaganza. Over the years Weekend Away has been a consistent favourite of all members, always providing fond memories and entertaining stories. This event costs £90 for members and £105 for non-members. This is paid in a 2 installment payment. Members payment 1= £50; Members payment 2= £40. Non-members payment 1= £65; Non-members payment 2= £40. THE ITINERARY: 30th March - DAY 1: 12:00: Meet at Exeter St Davids, outside the station. We will take a coach. DO NOT BE LATE!! ~ There will be a Magical Mystery Tour en-route ~ 17:00: Check-in at the YHA in Brecon Beacons. Dinner is provided by the YHA. 31st March - DAY TWO: Breakfast is provided by the YHA. WALK A: Adventures up Pen Y Fan and beyond! Length: 10 miles / 16 Kilometres - Severe. Terrain: Severe. Lunch is provided by the YHA. Dinner is provided by the YHA. Games and fun at the YHA! 1st April - DAY 3: Breakfast is provided by the YHA. WALK B: Adventures across the Brecon Beacons. Length: 8 miles / 12.5 kilometres - Moderate. Terrain: Severe. Lunch is provided by the YHA. The coach will then pick everyone up and drive back to Exeter. We aim to be back in Exeter by 19:30. Wowweee what a jam-packed adventure!! KIT LIST: YOU CANNOT COME ON THIS AMAZING ADVENTURE WITHOUT HIKING BOOTS AND ADEQUATE WATER PROOFS (Waterproof coat AND trousers). If you try to come without hiking boots you WILL be refused entry, regardless of payment. You need to bring: - HIKING BOOTS - WATERPROOFS (Jacket & trousers) - Enough clothes for all days - Including spare warm layers and underwear! - Pyjamas - Clean shoes for the YHA - Experience recommends slippers/sliders. - Warm hat, gloves & scarf - Hat & sun cream - Toiletries & shower items - Including toothbrush! - ANY medication you require (Emergency and non-emergency) - Water bottle(s) - Snacks - Packed lunch for the first day - ID for the YHA OTHER INFO: The YHA is providing breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meal selections must be made no later than 10:30 16th March. There will be vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options. If you have not completed this you will be assigned the vegetarian options. Second payment must be made no later than 12:00 20th March. Refunds: Refunds are only available if: - It is less than 10 days from you paying the 1st deposit. - You have NOT paid the 2nd deposit. - There is someone who can fill your space. If you do NOT meet ALL 3 criteria, you will not get a refund. If it is after 14 days from the purchase you will not get a refund. If you have paid both deposits you will not get a refund. If there is no one to fill your space you will not get a refund. Buying the ticket consents to these terms.
