This event is an opportunity to explore the exciting array of bookshops which Exeter has to offer!
We will be starting from Blackwell's on campus, from which we will walk to Waterstones in town via Hoopern Valley (25 mins). From Waterstones we will then visit Oxfam, HospiceCare, Bookbag, Book-Cycle and Bridge Books, before heading back to campus along Bonhay Road and then up St Davids Hill (40 mins).
This event will require that participants are able to walk at a reasonable pace and be on their feet for around four hours.
The number of tickets available for this event is 40. Tickets will be released in two stages so don't worry if you miss out on our first release!
First Release: 5 July, 12:00
Second Release: 15 August, 12:00
All of the shops we will be visiting are wheelchair accessible, and the route between them in town is step-free. However, there are some gradients with which wheelchair users may struggle. The route to and from town from the campus is also step-free, but contains very significant gradients. Those with physical disabilities who prevent them from walking for long distances may want to consider making separate arrangements to travel to and from campus to town centre. Access to toilets and basic seating will be limited during this event. There is car parking available next to our meeting point, including blue badge parking.
If you have any questions about this event, please get in touch by dropping us a message on social media or emailing us via [email protected].
