Battle of the Bubbles

Looking for a classy pre-drinks for a Friday night? Look no further… On Friday 29th November, we will be popping open bottles aplenty at the Battle of the Bubbles! Thanks to sponsorship and bulk buying, Wine & Food Soc have been able to secure some huge discounts on several brilliant sparkling wines that would ordinarily be well out of any student's price range. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: You don't need to know anything about wine to enjoy this event! If you enjoy sparkling wine or are interested in learning a bit more about it then this is the one for you. The first half of the event will be spent comparing and contrasting several carefully selected sparkling wines from all around the world (purchased from local wine shops). We will be discussing how these wines are made, what tasting notes we might find and whether regions like champagne are really worth the extra £. The second half of the event will be much more relaxed - we will be enjoying both sparkling and non-sparkling wines. The focus here will be less on wine tasting and more on pure hedonistic pleasure. Dress Code: Smart & Bubbly. Please arrive promptly or you will miss both the introduction and first wines. Please do not pre-drink. We may run out of time but we never run out of wine!
