An Interview with Nick Newman

Join us in the Nihon Room as we welcome political cartoonist and comedy scriptwriter Nick Newman. Nick has written satirical cartoons for the Sunday Times since 1989, with work also published in publications as varied as The Spectator, The Big Issue, and Private Eye. A friend of Ian Hislop’s since school, Nick was a regular contributor to Private Eye prior to his work at the Sunday Times. He has written a number of comedy scripts, most notably for A Bunch of Amateurs, which won the Royal Film Performance in 2008. Nick will be discussing his life in satire and accepting questions from the floor. Refreshments provided
