About you

We are looking for a mid-level UX designer who will work within our product team helping to define features for the future of the FIXR platform. This role will primarily consist of wireframing new features, prototyping ideas and assisting with the specification of new features for sign off before they enter development.

Key to this role is a strong understanding of UX best practices. Our ideal candidate will feel confident taking written specifications, translating them into wireframes and then presenting them to the wider team for feedback and user testing.

As part of the product team, you will gain a deep understanding of the full FIXR product portfolio and assist with the process of feature refinement to ensure they cover different use cases.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about UX and able to actively find areas of improvement within our current UX.

While this role is primarily focussed on UX - a knowledge of UI and design is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating wireframes based on user stories and feature specifications
  • Prototyping different ideas within regular team workshops and consolidating feedback
  • Helping to refine feature specifications taking UX into consideration
  • Presenting functionality to the development team, design team and management team for sign off
  • Contributing to the product backlog for platform UX improvements
  • Working with the design team to ensure high fidelity mock-ups meet the UX specification.
  • Conducting user research to identify areas within the platform which can be improved.

Essential experience

  • Previous experience working as a UX designer within an Agile team.
  • Experience working on customer facing products
  • Experience creating wireframes for data focussed CMS systems
  • Knowledge of UX best practices on both web and mobile
  • Experience using Figma as a design tool
  • Experience using any wireframing tool
  • Experience conducting user research
  • Experience testing prototypes and gathering feedback
  • Familiarity with both B2B and B2C products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and spotting “edge cases”
  • The ability to work well within a team and take on feedback
